Disney's Animal Kingdom in Africa

Entree range

Breakfast $29 (child $16), lunch $38 (child $19), dinner $44 (child $21)

Tusker House appeals to kids who want to meet the Disney characters and grown-ups who appreciate the convenience and value of a buffet. You can try something different, such as beef bobotie at breakfast and curries and chutneys at lunch and dinner, but there are plenty of familiar tastes, too.

Setting and Atmosphere

Tusker House’s character meals feature Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. The setting—inside the Harambe Village square— is plainer than Disney’s promotional photos would indicate, especially after dark. The food is good, though not as varied or as interesting as the surroundings would lead you to expect; still, it’s fine for filling up families and visiting with the Disney characters.

House Specialties

Carved sirloin, rotisserie pork and chicken, chicken curry, seafood stew, spiced tofu.

Other Recommendations

African- and Indian-influenced dishes such as chutney, couscous, and curry.
