Disney's Animal Kingdom in Africa

Entree range

Breakfast $30 (child $18), lunch $38 (child $23), dinner $42 (child $25).

Tusker House appeals to kids who want to meet the Disney characters and grown-ups who appreciate the convenience and value of a buffet without the typical buffet boredom. You can try something different, such as beef bobotie at breakfast and curries and chutneys at lunch and dinner, but there are plenty of familiar tastes, too.

Setting and Atmosphere

Tusker House’s character meals feature Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. The setting—inside the Harambe Village square— is plainer than Disney’s promotional photos would indicate, especially after dark. The food is surprisingly good, with spices and taste combinations you won’t find at other spots—on par with the buffet at Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge, only with a theme park outside and Disney characters within.

House Specialties

Carved sirloin, rotisserie pork and chicken, chicken curry, seafood stew, spiced tofu.

Other Recommendations

African- and Indian-influenced dishes such as chutney, couscous, and curry.
