Description And Comments
We can't fault Disney for trying to cash in on the success of High School Musical, an original movie premiered on the Disney Channel in 2006. The kids who sing and dance their way through a 20-minute recap of the film's major musical numbers do an outstanding job. With little dialogue and stage props that consists of nothing more than basketball shaped balloons and cheesy "Go Wildcats!" banners, Disney's not given them much to work with. You can't fault the cast's enthusiasm, energy, and volume, however. They'll either set your toe a-tapping' or give you a major migraine. Children will miss the actual stars from the film, while adults will wonder what the school's feeding these kids to eliminate all traces of teen angst and raging hormones.
