Save Time and Money on Your Disney Cruise Line Vacation.

Here's your complete guide to the Disney Cruise Line, we cover everything you need to know for your family's Disney cruise.

When to book

Most cruise fares start low and begin to rise as the ship fills up. It’s possible to save 10–20% by booking a year in advance. Conversely, if your travel schedule is very flexible, savings of up to 25% off are possible when you book a cruise within two weeks of its sailing date. These deals are especially good if you live within a day’s drive of the departure port, because you can avoid the last-minute price hikes on airline tickets.

Our Fare Tracker tracks price changes for every ship. See whether you'll save money by booking now or waiting. The Fare Tracker will also show how Disney priced the same cruise last year.

We have the tools to help plan your dream Disney Cruise Line vacation.

Which ship to cruise on

Not all of Disney's ships are the same. We have complete details and photos of the Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, Wish, and Treasure, including stateroom types and descriptions.

Features found on all the ships include pools, water-play areas, fitness centers, movies theaters, sports/recreational areas, and shopping. Some ships offer amenities not found on others. The Dream and Fantasy, for example, have the following features not found on the Magic or Wonder: AquaDuck waterslide, a spa exclusively for teens, dedicated Champagne bars, Midship Detective Agency interactive game, miniature-golf course, and more. The Disney Wish and Treasure have new unique features such as a stage in the atrium, two boutique theaters, and highly themed lounge areas.

Selecting an itinerary

Beaches or glaciers? Venice or the Baltics? We'll help you decide which itinerary is best for you. Disney offers many dozens of separate itineraries ranging from 2-night weekend getaways to 15-night voyages between two oceans using the Panama Canal. We'll help you select the right one for you with our Disney Cruise Line Planning page. We also have specific advice on the best itineraries for first-time cruisers, and combining your Cruise with a Disney World Vacation.

What to do on the ship

We have information on each ship's children's clubs and activities, restaurant and bar reviews, family activities, how to meet characters, on-board seminars, and shopping. We'll even tell you which theater shows to skip for more time at Senses Spa.

We also go over the cruise's theme nights and seasonal entertainment. Such as Pirate nights, Halloween cruises in fall, and the winter holidays.

Detailed images of ships, dining, and maps of all ports are included in our coverage.

What to do off the ship

Complete coverage of Castaway Cay and Lighthouse Point, Disney's private island retreats, including reviews, what to pack for your day, food and bar reviews, and more.

Preparing for a Disney Cruise

We'll walk you through everything you need to know before you leave, including packing tips, passport and ID requirements, advice for families with special needs or dietary restrictions, guides to tipping and gratuities, transportation and parking tips for each port, where to spend the night before your cruise, the check-in and boarding process, the daily Personal Navigator hand-out, and how to prepare for coming home.

If this is your first-ever cruise, or your first Disney cruise, we've got all the information you need to have a better trip. We're part of the team that writes the best-selling Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, and we've been covering Disney for more than 25 years.
