Summary

You know Disney is serious about the French theme when they put snails on the appetizer menu. There are other Gallic influences on the menu – many of the entrees have sauces whose bases include with butter, wine or spirits – and plenty of standard vegetarian, chicken, beef and pork dishes to make anyone happy.

Setting and Atmosphere

The most attractive part of Royal Palace may be its entrance, done in gold and white marble tile below a pretty flower-shaped chandelier accented with blue glass diamonds and red rubies. Inside the doors, gold and white faux-marble columns form a circle just inside one ring of tables; royal blue carpet with gold trim lines the inner part of the restaurant. Drapes cover the windows lining one side of the room, and mosaic tile pictures of Disney princesses line another.

House Specialties

Breakfast features the usual buffet staples: fruit, cereals, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausages and pastries. Lunch includes soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers, plus a couple of alternative offerings such as pasta or fish. Dinner appetizers include escargots and French onion soup. The Grand Marnier soufflé is probably the most popular dessert.
