Theater of the Stars combines Disney characters with singers and dancers in upbeat and humorous Hollywood musicals. The Beauty and the Beast show, in particular, is outstanding. The theater offers a clear field of vision from almost every seat. Best, a canopy protects the audience from the Florida sun (or rain), the theater still gets mighty hot in the summer.

Touring Tips

Unless you visit during the cooler months, see this show in the late afternoon or the evening. The production is so popular that you should show up 25-35 minutes early to get a seat.

WDW Entertainment is looking to ease this 20-plus-year-old musical out of the 1,500-seat theater of the Stars and bring in an all-new production based on 2010’s Tangled. Among the ideas being considered to bring this film to life as a musical is turning the backmost wall of the set into a massive video screen. This is a staging technique previously used on the Disney Cruise Line, but never for a show inside a Disney theme park.
