Description And Comments
Located near the Jungle Cruise, Shrunken Ned's Junior Jungle Boats is one of the few Magic Kingdom attractions that requires a fee separate from park admission. Aspiring captains can shell out a couple of bucks to gain remote control of a small boat for a few minutes. The pond in which the boats move has intriguing obstacles like tikis and elephants, and each ship is commanded via an authentic-looking ship's wheel and throttle. Kids of all ages are bound to want to try their hands at piloting one of Shrunken Ned's boats, and they'll likely enjoy this simple but fun interactive experience. Note that controlling these boats with any degree of precision may be a challenge.
Touring Tips
- Open for Evening Extra Magic Hours.
This attraction seldom reaches its capacity of 16 skippers, but do not be surprised if not all the boats are operational. If you pay to use a boat that fails to work, let the nearest cast member (probably at the Jungle Cruise) know, and he or she can help. Don't let Shrunken Ned pull a fast one on you by renting you a broken ship!
Special Comments
Costs 2 tokens. Nearby machines sell tokens for $1 each or $5 for 6 tokens. Only $1 and $5 bills are accepted.
