Universal Studios Florida in Hollywood, at the end of Hollywood Blvd across from the Horror Makeup Show.

Hamburgers; cheeseburgers; chicken fingers,; grilled chicken sandwich; grilled chicken salad; fries; onion rings; ice-cream floats

Based on the diner from the George Lucas movie American Graffiti, Mel's has several vintage automobiles in the parking lot that area always available for photo ops. Check out the license plates for some fun references. During Halloween Horror Nights season, the neon lights in the "Mel's Drive-in" sign are creatively changed to "Mel's Die-in." More than half the menu lists some combination of hamburger patty, cheese and bacon, with fries. The food is as bland as the selection. Root beer floats are available, but we wouldn't make a special trip here for anything.
