Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

Entree range

Breakfast $9–$14.50 (child $7), lunch $13–$18 (child $9), dinner $19–$33 (child $9)

The menu is themed to the island decor, and though the dining room isn’t fancy, the food is on a higher plane than your average java joint’s. An adjacent sushi bar serves the full restaurant menu for dinner and offers coffee and pastries during breakfast and lunch.

Setting and Atmosphere

With the remake of the Polynesian Village Resort, Kona Cafe remains the hotel’s coffee shop, open three meals a day. Right next to the monorail station, the casual, open dining room is an easy ride from the Magic Kingdom by boat or monorail should you want to escape the theme park for lunch or dinner.

House Specialties

Breakfast: Tonga Toast—French toast layered with bananas—is still the most requested dish. Lunch: passable crab cakes, fish tacos, grilled ahi tuna sandwich, pan-Asian noodles with shrimp, beef, or vegetables; Angus beef and fried shrimp Kona burger; banana-chocolate crème brûlée. Dinner: sushi, tuna poke, pan-seared duck breast, grilled curry-crusted lamb chop, New York strip steak, and sustainable fish.

Other Recommendations

Charcuterie and cheese, Kilauea torte (chocolate cake with a warm chocolate center), and Kona coffee served in a press pot.
