What should you know?

Maya Grill at the relatively overlooked Coronado Springs is owned by the same folks who run the restaurants at the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT, but execution falls short here. Menu prices have come down somewhat, but over $20 for fish tacos is still expensive.

What’s it like inside?

The dining room, long in need of a redo, is intended to evoke the ancient world of the Maya, achieving “a harmony of fire, sun, and water.” But the idea falls short. The kitchen is open to view— but so is the barren and starkly lit walkway outside.

What are the specialties?

Tex-Mex and Nuevo Latino dinner fare, including a fajita skillet and slow-cooked pork with corn tortillas.
