10 Differences in Concierge on the Disney Adventure
If you’ve sailed Concierge on any of the first seven Disney Cruise Line ships, you’ll quickly realize that all the benefits you’ve previously enjoyed in Concierge (which are covered in a previous blog post) are also present on the Disney Adventure. You still get early bookings for activities onboard, you’ll be in the first boarding group, there’s a lounge onboard with included drinks every evening, you’ll get early entry to the theatre shows, etc. The good news is that the Adventure has added even more benefits and made some other good changes! Here they are. Unless noted, everything below is included at no extra cost.
1. New Stateroom Categories – There are 13 different Concierge stateroom categories! The Wish-class ships had the most previously, with 7, and the other ships have 5. More options are never a bad thing. Entry-level Concierge on the Adventure is a brand-new category for DCL, a Concierge Inside Family Stateroom. These inside staterooms sleep up to 6! Staterooms that sleep 6 are very unusual as well!
2. Giant Lounge with Dedicated Kitchen – There are more Concierge staterooms on the Adventure, and the lounge was upsized accordingly. It’s massive! Gorgeous and massive. We never had a hard time finding somewhere to sit. Like the Wish-class ships, there’s a dedicated kitchen for the lounge, which means hot food is available for three meals a day. It’s a huge perk, and I miss it when I’m on a ship that doesn’t have it.

3. Huge Sundeck – The sundeck is also huge! There’s a large pool surrounded by four hot tubs, ample lounge chairs, and several cabanas to sit in. There is no prettier Concierge sundeck on DCL.

4. Exclusive Grill – There’s also an outdoor restaurant on the sundeck, exclusive for Concierge guests. It’s open for lunch until 4:30 p.m. and has some of the best burgers I’ve had. Absolutely delicious! It also serves chicken wings, paneer, prawns and salads. We really enjoyed our meals there!

5. Private Fitness Center – The lounge also has a private fitness center. When I say private, I mean private. It’s quite large, but it was usually completely empty. It’s like your own personal gym.
6. Private Spa – There’s also a concierge-exclusive spa in the lounge. There’s no need to go down to the spa for everyone else, which is several decks below. They can do all the treatments in this spa. It’s also fairly empty, so you won’t have a problem getting the time you prefer. The spa treatments do cost extra.

7. Spa Suites – Perhaps the most luxurious four hours I’ve ever spent on a cruise ship were spent in one of the two Concierge spa suites available onboard. You can choose between the Zootopia- or Mary Poppins-themed suites, which are $800 for four hours. You can just relax and enjoy the suite, or book spa treatments (which do cost extra), which are done in the suite. There’s a treatment room, a sauna, two showers, a restroom, a changing room, a salon, and a large verandah to enjoy. There’s also a large living room area with couches and chairs, as well as a table for all the food your personal butler will be happy to bring you. The butler is on call the entire time and brought us snacks, drinks, and a full meal. We had multiple menus to choose from. Alcohol, sodas, juices, and water were all included as well. It was an amazing way to spend an afternoon.

8. Rainforest Room – The other benefit of an exclusive spa is an exclusive Rainforest Room. But not just any Rainforest Room, an included at no cost Rainforest Room. Both the men’s and women’s changing rooms had heated tile chairs, a sauna, a plunge pool, and a whirlpool inside. There’s no charge to use them! If you have booked a Rainforest Room pass on your Adventure cruise and are sailing Concierge, cancel it immediately. There is no need.
9. Stores – There are two stores in the lounge. The first is a decent-size merchandise store called 3 Wishes. It carries all the exclusive Concierge merchandise, plus the most popular merchandise sold in the main stores found onboard. The second store is called Palace Treasures, which sells jewelry and high-end watches. It’s just one more reason that you may never need to leave the lounge!

10. Characters – All of the ships have a character come to the lounge one afternoon, but the Adventure has characters coming in and out several times a day, every day. On a ship where reservations are required to meet the characters most of the time, seeing them in the lounge with short lines is a big bonus!
