Wow Len, you really didn’t like it did you?! Not to be argumentative, but I completely disagree with you on most of this. My husband and son and I went there 5 years in a row, starting when Kiddo was a baby. It wasn’t until this past year that we made the switch to WDW.
You’re right that CA Adventure is a small park and that the theming isn’t typical Disney. But the great part about the Disneyland as a whole is the small size. It is perfect for young families – you can take your time, relax, and get an actual vacation there, whereas at WDW everything is fast-paced and hectic.
I can see that if you are used to WDW, DL could be disappointing. But if you start at DL and “graduate” to WDW as your family grows up, I think you could really enjoy it. My family did. 🙂
