RFID Turnstiles Open At Epcot

Epcot opened a section of new RFID turnstiles today. Swipe your ticket past and you’re in! Passholder tickets still use the finger scan, but the spinning metal turnstile itself is gone.

All new tickets are thicker with RFID embedded. Older tickets get an RFID sticker at the turnstile. CM’s scan your old ticket’s barcode and the new sticker, then link them for future use.

We’re at the parks today so we’ll have photos up for you soon.

  • Is it a Micky Mouse at a pole? Such design would sattisfy Disneyland for sure. Am I right, the hole right from Micky Mouse is biometric reader for fingerprints or something else?
