Weekly Disneyland Photo Update for July 9, 2012

In this week’s update we’ll take a look at construction around the Disneyland Resort, some changes to the Brave meet and greet, and other miscellaneous happenings.

Last Friday, a new Disneyland guide map cover was introduced featuring the recently refurbished Matterhorn. The “Tormorrowland” spelling error that was present in the guide maps for the past couple of weeks has been corrected.

Some changes have taken place at the Brave meet and greet. The themed games have been removed. This spot was the location of a game where guests spun a wheel that would show them which clan they would become a part of.

As you can see, most of the area has been cleared out with the exception of the some banners. Note that games have been cleared, but the meet Merida section of the meet and greet is still intact.

Benny the Cab from the front of Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin attraction has been temporarily removed for refurbishment.

Chevron has not renewed its sponsorship of Autopia. The Chevron logo has been removed from the attraction’s marquee and queue. The animated car dioramas in the queue are still intact, but any references to Chevron have been removed. Chevron was the sponsor of the attraction for the last 12 years.

Construction continues on the Princess Fantasy Faire.

The painting on the It’s Tough to be a Bug I mentioned in last week’s update has been completed.

The video screen on the Mad T Party main stage is now looping a video advertising the various features of the Mad T Party. This screen was previously turned off during the day.

Frankenweenie banners have been added to the front of the AMC theater in Downtown Disney.

There is no visible progress on the outside of the future home of Earl of Sandwich. Crews could be heard working inside the building at the time this picture was taken.

Candy chefs at Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney work on a variety of Disney character apples. Lightning McQueen, Goofy, Cheshire Cat, Mike Wazowski, and Sully candy apples can be found in most of the candy shops around the Disneyland Resort.

That’s it for this week. Do you have something you want me to cover in the weekly photo update? Leave a comment in the section below!

My goodness! In the Princess Fantasy Faire, even the waste pipes are pink!

I just wanted to type: “Frankenweenie”.
