In Case You Missed It!

How is it already the last weekend in April?! I hope you have a great weekend planned; I certainly do!

This week is chock full of Disney and Universal greatness…including a sequel for a recent film that could potentially be happening; accolades for the Disney company, and much more! Read on for all the great details!

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

Did Disney infringe on the rights of another company with the creation of MagicBands? A new lawsuit claims they did.

Work is progressing on being able to take over that whole back section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and turn it into Star Wars/Pixar lands. A new flex space has been permitted to be built on Sunset Boulevard.

Time’s 100 most influential people came out and surprise! Bob Iger made the list! Find out why.

More accolades for the company. Disney was named as one of The World’s Most Reputable Companies for 2015, according to Forbes.

So apparently Len’s been busy. He spoke with Parents Magazine recently about trip timeline advice, and NEA about why Disney Cruise Line is the perfect vacation.

Kermit the Frog was on “The View” this week discussing his thoughts on the new glass frog, who looks kind of familiar. But oh so cute! See Kermit’s adorable take on the discovery.

Could The Avengers be the biggest movie ever? See how Marvel went from practically in ruin to the big dog on top! What do you think? Will it Hulk Smash all the records or will Star Wars end up coming from behind and taking the title later this year?

You wanted to see Tomorrowland, here it comes. Holy cow! I get more and more hyped about this movie the more I see about it. May 22 cannot get here soon enough! Seriously…what are your thoughts on this film?

BB8 stole the show at the recent Star Wars Celebration.  Find out how he was created and how there may be a chance that he’ll come to a Disney theme park at some point.  In addition, if you can’t wait to pick up your own version of BB8, this guy figured out how to build one.

In this week’s edition of “Things that Make Me Go What?!”, Vince Gilligan could be teaming up with Disney on a potential Jack and the Beanstalk flick. Will the magic beans be blue? Will Jack be the one who knocks?

Have you heard that there’s going to be a sequel to Big Hero 6…well apparently there is going to be.  According to Stan Lee, who supposedly let the secret slip. (Though if it’s what I’ve heard the rumored story is for the sequel, I’m not sure how I feel about it. Apparently Tadashi may not be dead…and he may be a villain. I really hope that part isn’t true.)

Well, this is pretty fantastic. To promote Ant-Man in Australia, people are happening upon some unique billboards. I think this is genius!

Catch the first glimpse of of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

If you are a fan of the NBC show, “American Ninja Warrior,” you’ll be able to catch a taping of it at Universal Orlando Resort May 10-11. Find out more.

In the parents magazine article that is linked the author states cinderella’s royal table is an exception to the 180+10 booking rule for onsite guests and can only be booked 180 days in advance regardless of where you are staying. Is this true? I’ve never heard that before and I’m a disney blog and guidebook junkie. Or is it misinformation on parents magazine’s part?
