Last week, Universal saw wait times at or below levels predicted by the Universal Crowd Calendar every day. Other than Saturday, guests to Universal enjoyed crowd levels no higher than a ‘5’ which means most headliner attractions had average wait times less than 50 minutes.

Low crowd levels last Sunday, especially for a weekend. Guests to both parks experienced wait time averages less than 20 minutes at most of the major attractions. Only Despicable Me was 40+ minutes but that is normal even on slow days.

Monday’s crowd levels were not much higher despite our prediction of a level ‘6’ at Islands of Adventure. Resort guests who accessed that park via Early Admission saw wait time averages less than 30 minutes at almost every attraction.

Still no crowd levels above a ‘4’ on Tuesday. We saw more wait time averages like 10 minutes at The Simpsons Ride and 15 minutes at the Hulk Coaster.

Wednesday’s crowds were very light once again. Guests saw low wait time averages like 11 minutes at Revenge of the Mummy and 27 minutes at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Thursday was the first day last week when we we saw wait times rise significantly although still very manageable. We saw wait time averages of 21 minutes at Disaster! and 32 minutes at The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

Friday’s crowd levels were a step lower than Thursday’s. Islands of Adventure wait times were especially low for a Friday in off-season. Dragon Challenge and Storm Force Acceleration saw average wait times in the single digits, rare for Friday.

Saturday’s bump in attendance came as expected by the Universal Crowd Calendar. We saw average wait times like 42 minutes at Rip Ride Rockit and 39 at The Incredible Hulk Coaster.
