In Case You Missed It!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Are you doing anything Disney this weekend? Maybe going to Disney World of Disneyland? Maybe seeing Tomorrowland? Whatever you do this weekend, please make sure to be safe!

This week, I found fun stuff about a potential DVC resort expansion at Wilderness Lodge, a review of Inside Out, and much more!

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

With Disneyland’s 60th celebration kicking off today, I felt it was appropriate to share these rarely seen photos of Disneyland’s construction.

It appears that plans have officially been filed for the future DVC waterside units at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Lawrence Kasdan, the screenwriter for Star Wars: The Force Awakens gave an interview with Variety. He talks about how he got started with the franchise; what it was like for writing for Han, Leia, and Luke again; and if Lando is really done?

The New York Post takes a look at how Walt Disney’s obsession for the future helped to mold this film. I think there are some great insights about what we can expect with Tomorrowland courtesy of quotes from screenwriter Damon Lindelof in this article.

Speaking of Tomorrowland, while George Clooney may be the star, former Disney Imagineer, Bob Gurr  has a little something to do with the film too. His vision helped to create what we’ll see on the big screen.

Looking to know more about Inside Out? Check out the review of the film from the Cannes Film Festival.

Avengers: Age of Ultron has officially become the 3rd highest grossing Marvel movie of all time.

John Lasseter recently shared details about the upcoming flicks from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar.

We know the Muppets are coming back to TV in the fall, but first, you should take a look at these 11 fun facts that I certainly didn’t know about the group! Which one is most interesting to you? (For me…I had no idea about Scooter’s relative!)

Would you watch a Star Wars or a Marvel TV channel? Bob Iger mentioned that something like that could potentially be available to fans in the future.

Did you know that “Miles from Tomorrowland” is trying to increase little girls’ interest in becoming scientists too?  See what the show is doing to try to accommodate that desire by working with Google and NASA.

How cool! The Today Show will be broadcasting live a special Pitbull concert on Friday May 29 from Universal Orlando Resort. Find out the details!

I agree. I grew up a Star Wars geek. A few spoilers would have been excellent!

Forget a Marvel or Star Wars channel. I want a live streaming service from the Parks. I loved watching the parades and fireworks during the 24 hr event. I’d pay money to have the ability to watch Reflections of Earth live on any random night.

The only things that I enjoy more than Star Wars are the Disney Parks, the 2 in CA and the 4 in FL. I would warmly welcome this.

Dean, I totally agree with you. However, if that every really happened any shred of productivity in my day would be shot! 🙂 Even just the people watching is fascinating, and of course, it’s amazing to get a look at the parks and feel that sense of…”home”
