Disneyland Crowd Calendar Report – July 12 to 18, 2015

Crowds were up at Disneyland Resort last week as the resort celebrated its 60th anniversary. However, on the day of the anniversary itself the park wide crowd level was a ‘7’ as predicted by the Disneyland Crowd Calendar. Wednesday and Thursday saw the peak waits of the week at both parks.

Both Disneyland parks hit levels a couple points higher than expected on Sunday. At Disneyland Park that meant average wait times like 33 minutes at Alice in Wonderland and 23 minutes at Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.

Monday’s crowd levels were ‘8’ at both parks, only slightly higher than the Disneyland Crowd Calendar expected. Several Disneyland attractions stood out with high average wait times like Mickey’s House at 26 minutes and Pirates of the Caribbean at 26 minutes.

Tuesday’s wait times were higher still, continuing the week’s upward trend. Matterhorn Bobsleds averaged 48 minutes, a clear ’10’ on our scale as did Peter Pan’s Flight at 51 minutes.

Wednesday’s crowds were at the upper end of our scale for the third day in a row. At Disney California Adventure, Tower of Terror averaged 56 minutes and Mickey’s Fun Wheel averages 40, both level ’10’ for those attractions.

Thursday was the busiest day of the week with both parks hitting a level ‘9’. Ten attractions at Disneyland Park hit a level ’10’ on our scale however plenty of others hit levels much lower including Astro Orbitor at a level ‘1’ with a 10 minute average.

Happy 60th Anniversary! Wait timesĀ at Disneyland Park were higher than expected but Disney California Adventure balanced out the resort wide crowd level with lower than expected wait times.

Saturday’s wait times at both parks returned to normal summer levels. Space Mountain averaged 54 minutes, Splash Mountain 58 and Haunted Mansion 23.
