Last week Universal Orlando parks saw crowds that matched typical summer levels. The Universal Crowd Calendar predicted crowd levels in the range of ‘6’ through ‘9’ which ended up being accurate except for Sunday when Islands of Adventure dipped to a level ‘5’.

Wait times at both Universal parks were relatively moderate on Sunday. We saw lower wait times at Islands of Adventure than at Universal Studios including averages like 16 minutes at Dragon Challenge as compared to 46 minutes at Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

Monday’s crowd levels should have been a little higher according to the Universal Crowd Calendar but wait times like 28 minutes at The Simpsons Ride and 11 minutes at Storm Force Acceleration mean that levels were down a few points.

By Tuesday, wait times at both parks returned to levels that were consistent with predictions by the Universal Crowd Calendar. This continued for the rest of the week.

Wednesday saw average wait times like 19 minutes at Disaster! and 56 minutes at The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, both examples of above average crowd levels compared to the rest of the year.

Thursday’s wait times were high again at both parks. Universal Studios reached a level ‘9’ as expected with average waits like 69 minutes at Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and 104 minutes at Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.

Saturday’s crowd levels were ‘7’ at both parks, about average for a summer weekend at Universal. Wait time averages were a real mixed bag with averages like 8 minutes at Flight of the Hippogriff but 75 for Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls.
