How Crowded Was Disneyland Resort Last Week?

Last week was the first week that we were able to compare our new adjusted crowd levels to what we observed at the Disneyland parks. They did pretty well although still tended to be too low overall. Crowds were evenly spread between the resort’s two parks each day. Wednesday was Veterans Day, represented by the spike on the “What We Saw” line.

Let’s look at how the crowd levels stacked up each day last week on the TouringPlans.com Disneyland Resort Crowd Report:

At Disneyland park, some attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (32 minutes, predicted 21) pushed the park-wide crowd level two points higher than predicted.

What to Expect This Week
November 15 to 21, 2015

This week represents the last week before the Thanksgiving rush at Disneyland Resort. It also brings the beginning of Season of the Force, a Star Wars themed event at Disneyland park. We expect the event to affect wait times at Star Tours and Space Mountain, most notably.

What is disappointing about this is the crowd calendar had predicted a two for Veterans Day for many months. It was only late in the day on November 10th that the crowd calendar was updated to predict an 8. For people who took the predictions into consideration for planning their vacation, this was a big disappointment. I also feel it is a little disingenuous to say you predicted an 8 and it was a 10. You predicted a 2 for months, so your crowd calendar didn’t work too well this time around.
