How did the Universal Crowd Calendar do last week?

If you prefer visiting parks with little to no crowd it doesn’t get much better than Universal Orlando last week. The Universal Crowd Calendar predicted that the resort would be around a crowd level ‘2’ all week and that is pretty much what happened. Some days crept up to a level ‘3’ and Wednesday dipped down to a ‘1’ but every day was a great day for low crowds.

Let’s look at how the crowd levels stacked up each day last week on the TouringPlans.com Universal Orlando Resort Crowd Report:

On Sunday, Universal Studios was two points higher than expected but that was offset by the lowest average wait times that we see at Islands of Adventure. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man averaged only 15 minutes while Dragon Challenge averaged only 4 minutes!

Wednesday was theme park nirvana, a crowd level ‘1’ at both parks. This is something we haven’t seen at any theme park resort in a while.

Weekend crowds are usually a little busier than weekday crowds during this time of year and that was the case last Saturday. However, wait time averages were still very low, perfectly manageable for all guests.

What to Expect This Week
December 6 to 12, 2015

We expect the low crowds to continue at Universal Orlando this week and next week. Crowds will not likely pick up until we enter the peak Christmas season starting around December 24.

We were at Universal on Saturday the 5th and we noticed that the crowds seemed high but the lines for every attraction were short. I think the longest line was 20 minutes all day.
