Photo - Angela DahlgrenToday’s Back to the Basics episode covers a controversial topic:

The Disney Dining Plan.

Okay, so maybe it’s not that controversial. Still, it’s something that I get a lot of questions about and wanted to cover this week.

Is the Dining Plan worth it? Can you get it for free? Watch the video below to find out!

Angela, you are the best! I love your videos. Ok, my question for you…you said avoid the Standard and Deluxe but does that mean you are saying the Quick Service is a good buy? For example, we are a family of 4 and are thinking of getting the quick service dinning plan and then going to one character meal, paying for that out of pocket. Good deal or no? Thank you!

      Laura,

We would personally pay out of pocket, but if you really want the dining plan (which I completely understand), we would pick the quick-service one. This is mainly because you’ll get the most savings using it for lunch and dinner.

Even if you pay out of pocket for the character meals (which you intend to do), you can just use the quick-service option for breakfast.

It sounds like you have it all figured out. Enjoy your vacation planning and don’t hesitate to ask anymore questions!
