The results are in! Last week we asked you:

Which is the best use of Star Wars at Walt Disney World?

With special nods to the “All of the above” (read: Star Wars mega fans) and “None of the above” (read: Not Star Wars fans), here’s how the four choices did in our weekly poll, with more than 1,400 votes cast.

The best description I had seen about Launch Bay when it first came out was that it is a multi-year holding pen while you wait for the real Star Wars stuff to open at the parks. If you’re a Star Wars fan, it is worth your time to do it, as there are props like models and costumes that are wonderful to see up close. You also have a couple meet and greets, plus interaction with the trading Jawas. But at the end of the day, unless you’re a big Star Wars fan, this is either one and done, or something to skip altogether.

The show may be scripted, but the actions of kids are not, giving this show some potential re-watchability. Still, unless you’re a parent or relative eager to watch your child swing a lightsaber against some big baddies from the Star Wars universe, you’re probably not going to watch this again and again. It’s cute and thankfully short (because standing around in the stage area can get hot and crowded). But if you’ve seen one show, you’ve pretty much seen them all–and anything unusual that happens will pop up on YouTube.

Han Solo said it best: Now let’s blow this thing and go home! Who doesn’t like fireworks to cap off a Disney evening? And fireworks set to a John Williams score? Brilliant. Some of the special effects with lasers and other pyrotechnic effects also add more oohs and aahs. Even if you’re not a major Star Wars fan, there still is enough entertainment factor to make this a wonderful capstone to your evening.

No question, the Force is strong with this current favorite use of Star Wars at Walt Disney World–and with good reason. Before you get to the ride itself, the show building and queue are impressive in their own rights. The ride itself also does not disappoint. Even if you didn’t have the random factor that means that each ride will be slightly different from the last, it is a solid ride.  It is fun for all ages (unless you have severe motion sickness), and a must-do on many people’s list. With the ability to add new scenes into the mix for new movies coming out, there’s plenty to see on multiple rides over the years.

So there you have it — this week’s winner. Do you agree with the results or sense a disturbing presence in the voting patterns? Next week’s poll is live now on Twitter and here. So until next week’s Ask It, May the Force Be With You!
