Food Review: Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2018 + Video

I experience many highlights when visiting Walt Disney World. Some include feeling other people’s joy, riding the attractions and seeing the look of wonderment in the eyes of my children.

Another highlight is tasting the different dishes at the festivals Epcot hosts throughout the year. While at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in late September, I brought my husband along to try a few plates with me.

See our thoughts below!

How would you rate these dishes? Would you like to see a Food & Wine overview in the next video? Let me know below!

My boyfriend loves Spam, so I hear what you’re talking about re: chewy ham! I think you underrated that dish, though, because you had a stronger reaction to the flavor profile with that dish than the Marinated Chicken or Bougatsa! It’s hard trying to rank Spam up there, because you know…it’s Spam!

I’m at Epcot in 2 weeks and excited to try everything!

      Beth P,

I can see why you think that because I raved about the dish after trying it but was all, “meh” about the marinated chicken. Even while editing, I noticed the same thing and should have added a note. I ultimately put the chicken above the Spam because though the flavors were better, I couldn’t get over the texture of the Spam (that might not be a deal breaker for everyone though!). The Marinated Chicken may have been simple, but it was good overall.

I hope I explained that okay. My apologies for not putting that in the video! – Angela

I WISH I could handle the texture of the Spam because the other flavors really were delicious! – Angela

Thank you for ur input. And guidance. First time at epcot f&w, this year. Loved it but missed a lot. Only can try so much. Next time we’ll be more informed.

Okay Angela, here’s the million dollar question. I’ll be at F & W in a couple weeks for hopefully one quiet Monday. I need to save room for dinner, but I definitely want to hit a few booths during the day. If you could pick any adult beverage, two entrees and one dessert, what would they be? I prefer lager beers and hate gin. I’m definitely a carnivore, and I key lime pie is my favorite dessert.

Also, since I’m a liner, any wait over 5 minutes is unacceptable to me and I might storm off, even if I’m next. So a hidden gem might work!

What can you come up with? If you need to choose 2 adult beverages, I will make the sacrifice and try both.
