There’s just something about Christmastime at Disneyland. Whether it’s the simple beauty of the wreaths, ribbons, and ornaments on Main Street, or the spectacle of “it’s a small world” Holiday, Christmas at Disneyland is a delight. In this post I’ll show you some of the highlights of Christmas 2018 at Disneyland Resort.

“it’s a small world” Holiday is one of the best holiday offerings in any Disney theme park. The facade is covered with thousands of sparkling lights, while the inside is decorated from top to bottom with decorations. It’s a wonderful experience.

As you can see it’s as pretty inside as it is on the outside.

Back on Main Street, there’s Disneyland’s massive Christmas tree. The tree is just 17 feet shorter than Sleeping Beauty Castle, and has more than 1,800 ornaments.

The tree towers over park guests and the buildings on Main Street.  The tree in Town Square isn’t the only decoration to see. Wreaths adorn the buildings up and down Main Street. The long-running A Christmas Fantasy Parade returns for 2018.New Orleans Square received its usual Mardi Gras-inspired Christmas decor. This is one of the most beautifully decorated sections of the park so be sure to check it out during your visit. I especially enjoy seeing these arrangements on the lampposts in New Orleans Square.  Over in Critter Country you can find this adorable snow Pooh and Piglet display. A neat detail is this Christmas tree above the Splash Mountain entrance. If you closely you can see a gift tag Brer Rabbit to Brer Bear and Brer Fox. Speaking of details, I’m low-key obsessed with this Santa Roger Rabbit in Toontown.During the holidays Sleeping Beauty Castle is transformed into Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle. There are a TON of tasty holiday treats to enjoy at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. We’ll have a post up later this week with our recommendations. Pictured above are the Holiday Brownie from Jolly Holiday Bakery in Disneyland, and the Chocolate Peppermint Pie from Flo’s V8 Cafe in DCA.Moving on to Disney California Adventure, the residents of Cars Land wish visitors,”Season’s Speedings” with their Christmas decorations.Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl are seasonal overlays of the Mater and Luigi rides in Cars Land. They feature festive new songs that are fun and catchy. Be sure to peek Cozy Cone Motel lobby to see the Gingerbread Cone Motel.I’m a big fan of the cone lights at Cozy Cone Motel. This retro Christmas tree can be found inside Flo’s V8 Cafe. The windows on Buena Vista Street contain these beautiful vintage-style Santa dioramas. DCA’s beautiful vintage-inspired Christmas tree is back for another year. Over in Grizzly Peak, the giant bear outside of Grizzly River Run is looking very handsome in his Christmas sweater. It even lights up at night! Not to be outdone by their big brother, the bears in front of Grizzly River Run’s gift shop also home some festive seaters on.Viva Navidad is back and that includes one of my favorite Disney Christmas offerings, Viva Navidad Street Party. It’s a must see. A ton of different characters also meet in the Paradise Gardens area during Viva Navidad, including Mickey & Minnie and Elena of Avalor.
