Special Events and Notes
Hey, perhaps you’ve heard that there’s this Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge thing coming down the pike at Disneyland, and we just got a huge dump of information about food, drinks, and attractions for the soon-to-be-opened land via D23 — there’s lots of great information here, with our summary available here. We also got a peek at what the costuming will look like in the new land. It’s frankly all over the internet, but some of the best coverage I’ve seen comes from Twitter user @DisneylandDrive. Here are a couple of quick samples, but check out his feed on twitter for a really comprehensive overview of the Cast Member reveal event from earlier this week:

The rumor mill suggests that there may be more Star Wars announcements in order in the next few days, so keep your ears to the ground (and your eyes on our site) for more info as it becomes available.
It’s time for the next festival at Disneyland resort — the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is running through April 23, 2019. The annual event includes culinary demonstrations and seminars, food kiosks featuring small bites and tastes, and is definitely worth a visit. There are several special events that take place during this event as well, including wine tastings, seminars, and special meals. For more details and information on how to make reservations (which are recommended), please check here. As per usual, the Annual Passholder corner will be passing out commemorative buttons and have special photo opportunities for Passholders.
Tuesday is Fat/Shrove Tuesday, the kickoff to Mardi Gras, and that means you can expect to see special music, treats, character outfits, and merchandise celebrating the event! Head to — where else — New Orleans Square to see what’s happening!
Thursday night, Disneyland will be hosting another After Dark event, and this time it’s 90s themed! Put on your Hammer Pants, your scrunchies, or tie a flannel shirt around your waist as you wish, and head on over to Disneyland at 9 p.m. on Thursday night for this hard ticket, after hours event featuring special photo opportunities, rare characters (like Darkwing Duck), treats, and merchandise. If you don’t have tickets, however, you won’t be able to the attend — the event is already sold out.
After a lengthy absence, World of Color is back in the nightly rotation. Fantasmic! also returns from its refresh at the end of the week, so we’re back to having a full slate of evening shows.
Finally, Disneyland is continuing its Get Your Ears On Celebration, commemorating 90 years of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Keep your eyes open for special menu selections, treats, character greetings, entertainment, and merchandise throughout the resort. Make sure you check out Rikki’s preview and Guy’s rundown of the best snacks for more details on what to expect!
We’re predicting medium crowds for most of the week, with higher crowds on the weekend and Monday.
Full details, including park-by-park crowd levels, are available on our Crowd Calendar.
It’s going to be a wet one this week! Highs will be in the 60s most days, and there is a chance of rain predicted every day except for Thursday — and in same cases, and significant chance of rain. Plan accordingly!
As always, it’s wise to double check the weather as the day of your visit approaches. Check out the most up-to-date forecast here.
Mickey’s Mix Magic and Mickey’s Soundsational Parade continue, and both Fantasmic! and World of Color return! Detailed show schedules, including smaller diversions like The Dapper Dans, can be found here.
