Wow! Did you see the video yet of the coaster vehicles for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster? These vehicles will be able to rotate 360 degrees and can even do a reverse launch!
Each individual car, which is part of the OmniCoaster ride system, will direct your eyes to the story happening around you and each vehicle, it appears, can be directed on its own. Instead of acting like a traditional coaster where you speed past the action, the system will fully immerse you in the story from the minute you take off.
As was announced at the D23 Expo, your adventure will start in the “Galaxarium,” which is a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures ensue.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open in time for the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort in 2021.
