PHOTOS: More Disney Merchandise Plays on Memes

We recently found a Disney tee that put Pocahontas into meme form.

Now there’s a series of magnets that plays on a similar theme. Disney characters are in meme mode, with their “current” mood depicted in comical fashion. These are $9.99 for a set of two magnets. We found these on Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but they are available in many other parks locations.

I’m not as salty about these as I am about the Pocahontas tee, mostly because these are accurate representations of the characters. For example, “Not Awake” disheveled Anna is indeed part of the Frozen film and Anna’s persona. Still, something about this feels like an overreach, like a dad who’s misuses teen slang to try to seem cool.
