Here’s what to expect for the rest of January 2020 and into February 2020 at Walt Disney World.

Events

  • The ever-popular Epcot International Festival of the Arts begins on Friday, January 17. This popular event includes everything imaginable in the realm of arts including live performances, a scavenger hunt, artistic food, and hands-on events and demonstrations, plus all sorts of artwork on display (and some for purchase).
  • Monday, January 20 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Expect higher crowds over the weekend leading into this holiday, as many schools and businesses have the day off.
  • Wednesday, January 22 starts Pro Bowl Week. Although this event doesn’t have a major impact on crowd levels, it is something that you may want to be aware of.
  • Super Bowl Sunday (February 2) and Valentine’s Day (February 14) may be major dates on your calendar, but their impact to crowds at Walt Disney World will be negligible aside from certain dining venues.
  • What will impact crowd levels is Presidents Day, with crowds peaking over the weekend (February 15-17).
  • The RunDisney season continues, with Princess Half Marathon Weekend coming up on February 20-23. Expect the biggest traffic impacts on that Sunday, but park crowds will be minimally impacted.
  • Crowds also see a minor bump towards the end of the month with the start of Mardi Gras.

For the latest details on crowd levels, check out the TouringPlans Crowd Calendar.

No worries–it’s a brand-new exhibit in the France pavilion, just outside where they’re showing the new Beauty and the Beast sing-a-long by day and Impressions de France by night.
