While we now know that the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will be in this year’s big game, there’s still one more event to happen and it’s happening in Orlando. The Pro Bowl is taking place this weekend and to celebrate, the Walt Disney World Resort is getting in on the action.
First, Guests will be able to take part in the Pro Bowl Experience which opens Wednesday at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This experience is an interactive outdoor area where you can test your football skills and see how you stack up against your favorite players in activities like the 40-yard dash, passing, catching, kicking and the vertical jump. There will also be other immersive exhibits that will take you straight into all of the action. In addition, throughout the week, you will be able to see your favorite players preparing for the big game during NFC and AFC practices.
There’s no admission cost to both the Pro Bowl Experience, which is open daily from Wednesday to Saturday, and team practices, which are open to the public with the NFL OnePass app.
In addition, Guests can also catch the debut of the new Pro Bowl Skills Showdown at The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex beginning on Wednesday. Here several Pro Bowl players will compete in such challenges as Precision Passing, Best Hands, and Epic Pro Bowl Dodgeball, as well as a new challenge – Thread the Needle, where defensive backs will go head-to-head to stop opposing quarterbacks from completing passes. Tickets must be purchased for the Skills Showdown event.
Then, on Saturday, head to the Disney Springs Marketplace Stage for the 2020 Pro Bowl Pep Rally. Guests will be able to join NFL team mascots and cheerleaders for a night of dancing, NFL and Disney trivia, food and beverage, and NFL merchandise. There’s no admission charge to the Pep Rally, which is open to the public. Pro Bowl-themed entertainment takes place at 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.
