On a visit many years ago, we took the train out to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, not sure what to expect. We were walking through the animal care area and the vets were performing a root canal on one of the tigers right behind the glass in front of us. It was AMAZING. There was a cast member there telling us what was going on, and the procedure was just feet from the window. The tiger’s giant paw was right in front of us and we could see his huge fangs since his mouth was propped open. It was completely unexpected and super cool.

Another great memory is from 2018 when my niece was celebrating her 21st birthday and one of the African singers serenaded her on the street and did a little dance step with her. She was SO excited.

I know DAK doesn’t always get the best reviews, but I absolutely love most everything about it (with the exception of those super hot summer days… that can make it a whole different experience). No trip to the World is complete without it!
