Universal Orlando Starts Phased Reopening with CityWalk on May 14
Universal Orlando Resort closed March 16, 2020, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Universal initially expected to reopen in mid-April but now expects to remain “closed through at least May 31, 2020.”
Today, Universal Orlando announced the phased reopening of the resort, starting with CityWalk on May 14, 2020. The following establishments will reopen from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily:
- Auntie Anne’s Pretzels
- Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
- Margaritaville: Outside & Lone Palm only
- Red Oven Bakery: Mobile order
- Voodoo Donuts: Mobile order
- Airbrush Studios
- Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company: Store only
- Universal Studio Store
- Hollywood Drive-In Golf
Self-parking is complimentary, and valet parking is not available. Guests are subject to additional security and health precautions such as temperature checks, mandatory face coverings, and social distancing.
