The Best Outdoor Activities and Attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Staying outside as much as possible is important to many Disney fans, myself included, during this time. And while I have mixed emotions about the prospect of returning to Walt Disney World, it helps to think about all the outdoor activities that are in each park. We’ve covered the outdoor activities at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now, it’s time to go wild!
It should come as no surprise that Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a whole lot of outdoor activities. It is the one theme park that is truly centered around the natural world, and because of this many of its attractions are outside.

There’s rain in the forecast every day all summer XD.
I agree that the lack of park hopping is a big problem. Disney needs to bring it back for those staying on site at the very least to alleviate the congestion being reported back at the resorts’ quick service food locations at the end of the day: looked like virus city.
We spent the weekend at Animal Kingdom and Epcot. We only did outdoor things and went back to our Fort Wilderness Cabin for breaks. There’s certainly always rain the forecast in summer, thankfully it did not rain both days we were there.
Pro Tip…don’t go to AK if there is rain in the forecast! Everest, Kali, triceratop spin, etc will close and there aren’t a whole lot of indoor things open! Not being able to park hop really stinks in this situation.
