Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar – Home of the Charcuterie Pretzel
If you love adventure and exploring creative food and drinks, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar should be on your list for Disney Springs. A staple that’s been on the menu for two years combines two bar food favorites: charcuterie and a big soft pretzel. Ivonne on our team made a quick landing to Jock Lindsey’s to revisit the Charcuterie Pretzel, formally known as the Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel, and to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this Indiana Jones themed bar.
The Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel is loaded indeed. This huge pretzel cradles Prosciutto, Sliced Brats, Artisan Pepperoni, Smoked Cheddar, Black Diamond Cheddar, Caraway Pickles, Spicy Mustard, and Beer Cheese Fondue. This loaded plate of delicious nibbles is $22.00. It’s a hefty price tag for an appetizer, but it could easily be a meal for two people, or plenty of bites for a party of four.
You can also order the pretzel on its own during Happy Hour. There are other food, beer, and cocktail specials during Happy Hour at Jock Lindsey’s, Monday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Jock Lindsey’s has a wide array of cocktails, beer, and wine – it is a bar after all. Ivonne selected the German Mechanic, which is a shandy of Bavarian Radler a.k.a. “Shandy” with Konig Ludwig Weissbier and Simply Lemonade for $12.00. It was the perfect selection to go with the array of delicious snacks on the Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is packed with wall to wall treasures and adventurous décor. There is seating inside and outside. The Cast Member at the front will ask you for your preference, inside or outside. Many of us prefer to dine outside right now and we’re happy to report that the outdoor bar and dining area at Jock’s affords lovely views of the lake, and the beauty of Disney Springs. After savoring the delicious charcuterie pretzel and the shandy, Ivonne wanted to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere outside a little longer.
We have received over 500,000 surveys in the past few years and our readers give Jock Lindsey’s a 92% thumbs up rating, and a ranking of 8 out of 56 bars at Walt Disney World.
Shorty’s Singapore Sling with Plymouth Gin, Heering Cherry Liqueur, Bénédictine, Cointreau, Fresh Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Grenadine is a cocktail that packs a punch. At $14.00 it is one of the strongest cocktails on the menu. It is tempting to sip as soon as you see it on the menu, but since it is so strong, having as “dessert” is a good idea so you can have some food and water before you slip into the sling.
