REVIEW – Disneyland Legacy Passholder Exclusive Orange Creamsicle Shake From Black Tap in Downtown Disney

That little plastic Disneyland card in your pocket can’t get you in to the parks anymore, but it can get you some discounts at Downtown Disney and allow you to buy some exclusive items. One of those items is the Classic Orange Creamsicle Shake from Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes in Downtown Disney. In this post we’ll review the shake and see if it’s worth your money.

The Classic Orange Creamsicle Shake is available at the Black Tap to go window, which is located near their outdoor seating area and Splitsville. To buy the shake you must show your Disneyland annual pass and pay $10 plus tax. No discounts are available.

The Orange Creamsicle Shake is made of vanilla ice cream, orange juice, and vanilla syrup. It’s then topped with whipped cream.

There’s also shaved carrots on top. Just kidding, those are good ol’ orange sprinkles.

The shakes itself has a very nice color. It almost looks like a beautiful sunset where the clouds are filled with smog and other pollutants.

They weren’t lying when they said it was made with orange juice. You can see the pulp!

How is it? It’s good. The Orange Creamsicle Shake even slightly reminds me of its distant cousin from Walt Disney World, the Citrus Swirl. Although here vanilla is definitely the dominant taste, not that that’s a bad thing. But I would have preferred this shake to lean more on the orange side of the flavor scale.  As for the price, $10 is a lot of money. You can get entire quick service entrees for that price. There’s also the phenomenal Salt & Straw just a short walk away where you can get some of the best ice cream you’ll ever have for a few dollars less than this shake. With that being said Black Tap has a solid menu of burgers and sides, and a shake is a perfect finish to a meal like that. The Orange Creamsicle Shake is currently slated to be available through March 31. See the Disneyland Legacy Passholder page for more information.

Would this be a shake you’d want to try or does the idea of pulp in a milkshake seem. . . odd? Let us know what you think in the comments.
