2025 Magic Kingdom Touring Plans with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’s NEW Standby Line
This is a quick blog post that describes three different touring plans for seeing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure using its new standby line.
All of these touring plans are based on our new wait time models that I’ve described earlier. Those models have produced our very best touring plans for Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and, as of last week, EPCOT (blog post coming soon). We’re on schedule to have these new wait time models available for everyone at the end of March.
Here are the assumptions we’re making for these new Magic Kingdom touring plans:
- You want to see all of the best attractions in the park in one day
- You’ll stop for around 40 minutes for lunch and 60 minutes for dinner, with plenty of time for other breaks throughout the day
- You won’t use Lightning Lane
- Your group does not include small children
- The Magic Kingdom is open until at least 9 p.m.
- Early Theme Park Entry begins at 7:30 a.m.
- A crowd calendar forecast of 6 out of 10 for the Magic Kingdom
I’ll do a separate article later for parents with small children.
Below are the touring plans. I’ll try to explain what the models seem to be saying, too, so you’ll have an idea of the logic underneath the steps.
2025 Adult “Rope Drop” Magic Kingdom Touring Plan with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Using Standby
This plan is for people who will do whatever it takes to be at the front of the rope drop crowd for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train during Early Theme Park Entry. And here’s a blog post that explains what “front of the rope drop crowd” means.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Jungle Cruise
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Haunted Mansion
- Space Mountain
- TRON Lightcycle Run (this will be a long wait – maybe 70 minutes on an average day)
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover
- Monsters Laugh Floor
- Carousel of Progress
- Lunch (Cosmic Ray’s is the closest and Peco’s Bill’s is near where you’re headed. Columbia Harbour House is the highest rated quick service restaurant in the park.)
- Play A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasure of the Seven Seas in Adventureland
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- Afternoon break (around 4 hours). See the parade. Or go back to your hotel for a nap.
- Swiss Family Treehouse
- Enchanted Tiki Room
- Country Bear Jamboree
- Eat dinner
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
- Work in the Happily Ever After Fireworks around the next few steps
- It’s a Small World
- Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
- Buzz Lightyear
The strategy for this plan is to do two popular attractions in Fantasyland first, then catch the attractions in Adventureland and Liberty Square before lines get long. You should have low waits at Jungle Cruise, Pirates, and Haunted Mansion here.
TRON Lightcycle / Run will probably be your longest wait of the day. Our models predict just under 70 minutes of waiting in line. The good news is that by that time you’ll already have seen six of the Magic Kingdom’s most popular attractions, and only Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Buzz Lightyear will remain. The rest of the tour consists of meals, shows, and breaks.
The plan has enough time for a long mid-day break. Assuming you’re staying in the park until closing, you can use that break to go back to your hotel for a nap and a swim. Based on that, it’s fair to describe this plan’s overall strategy as “Start early then wait out the crowds.”
The plan puts Tiana’s at night, and I think it’s a better attraction at night too.
If the Happily Ever After fireworks are shown before park closing and you want to see them, work them in around those last few steps in Frontierland and Fantasyland.
2025 Adult Magic Kingdom Early Entry Touring Plan with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Using Standby
The difference between this plan and the one above is that this plan allows you to be in the middle of the rope drop crowd instead of at the very front.. As long as you’re using Early Theme Park Entry and you’re somewhere in the first half of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train rope drop crowd, this plan should work.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Jungle Cruise
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Haunted Mansion
- Space Mountain
- Carousel of Progress
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover
- Monsters Laugh Floor
- Lunch (Cosmic Ray’s is the closest and Peco’s Bill’s is near where you’re headed. Columbia Harbour House is the highest rated quick service restaurant in the park.)
- Play A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasure of the Seven Seas in Adventureland
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- TRON Lightcycle / Run (this will be a long wait – maybe 70-75 minutes on an average day)
- Afternoon break (around 3 ½ hours). See the parade. Or go back to your hotel for a nap.
- Swiss Family Treehouse
- Enchanted Tiki Room
- Country Bear Jamboree
- Eat dinner
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
- Work in the Happily Ever After fireworks around the next few steps
- It’s a Small World
- Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
- Buzz Lightyear
One difference between this plan and the first plan is that there’s not enough Early Theme Park Entry time left to ride Peter Pan’s Flight before heading to Adventureland. So you’ll head from Fantasyland to Adventureland and lock in some time savings at Jungle Cruise and Pirates while those lines are still relatively short.
And one thing both plans have in common is that early morning visit to Adventureland for Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean.
2025 Adult “Regular Entry” Magic Kingdom Touring Plan with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Using Standby
This plan is for guests who are planning to start their day at the official Magic Kingdom park opening time. That includes guests staying off-site who are not eligible for Early Theme Park Entry.
There will be many thousands of people in lines ahead of guests who enter the park at official opening. It’ll be impossible to avoid long waits at any of the popular attractions, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, TRON Lightcycle / Run, and Space Mountain. Even secondary attractions such as Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan’s Flight will have waits of at least 25 minutes.
If you’re using regular park entry, our advice is to arrive early enough to the Magic Kingdom that you’re already in the park when it opens to all guests. Position yourself on the bridge between the Central Hub and Liberty Square, near the Sleepy Hollow Refreshments food stand. That’ll give you the best chance to see Haunted Mansion with relatively low waits.
Here’s the plan:
- Haunted Mansion
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- It’s a Small World
- Jungle Cruise (trying to capture a lull in waits here before the park starts filling up again)
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (we’re projecting a wait of about an hour here for days with moderate crowds. That assumes the ride has been operating without problems.)
Eat lunch. Pecos Bill’s is the closest quick service restaurant. Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square is the highest rated counter service in the park. And you’re headed next to Tomorrowland, where you’ll also have Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe as an option. - Carousel of Progress
- TRON Lightcycle Run (expect waits of around 70-75 minutes on an average day. You might be able to capture a bit of a lull in lines while most guests are eating lunch.)
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover
- Monsters Laugh Floor
- Swiss Family Treehouse
- Enchanted Tiki Room
- Country Bear Jamboree
- A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasure of the Seven Seas.
- Take a break – you’ll have 60-90 minutes before dinner
- Eat dinner
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (will likely be an hour or more wait)
- Work in the Happily Ever After fireworks around the next few steps
- Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
- Space Mountain (will still have a long wait)
- Buzz Lightyear
Let me know how these plans work, please. I’d love to hear what attractions you’d change in this plan, too. Drop your comments below – and thank you!
