Our in-parks team is in Disney theme parks every week recording wait times, trying food, soaking in the atmosphere, and looking for any changes that might impact your vacation. Here’s the changes that stood out to us this week.

Cast Member Plaque

A new plaque has been dedicated at Walt Disney World in honor of the 50th to celebrate Cast Members. The plaque was dedicated on September 15, 2021.

Scavenger Hunt at Disney Resorts

Over at resorts around Walt Disney World, there’s an attractions scavenger hunt. Pick up your card at any resort and then look for the attraction ticket signs hidden around resort hotels.

Opening of Space 220

This week saw the opening of the much-anticipated restaurant Space 220 at EPCOT. This restaurant offers amazing views as you circle the Earth and dine on a universe of tasty foods. You can read our full review here.

50th Anniversary Skyliner Wraps

Look to the skies — the Skyliner has some gondolas with special 50th anniversary wraps.

Rise of the Resistance Goes to Standby Only

Move over boarding groups, Rise of the Resistance has switched over for now to a standby line system. Wait times have been fairly reasonable for a headliner attraction, even though the lines looked impressive on opening day.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Guitar Gets Tarped

The giant guitar out front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been covered in tarps. Although rumors have been known to walk this way, we’re pretty sure there’s no re-theming going on. Just a glam up.

That’s it for this week. Which detail are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments.

You don’t “circle the earth” in Space 220, you remain in a fixed location 220 miles directly above Epcot. 🙂
