Best Last-Minute Dining Reservations for Thanksgiving Week

Although Thanksgiving week brings big–and hungry–crowds, there are still good dining reservations available at Walt Disney World. Here’s a sampling of the best options to book now. We searched for a party of 4 at 5:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving day, and here’s some of what we found:

Jaleo's paella pit
Jaleo’s paella pit

The word hasn’t quite gotten out about this restaurant, and that can benefit you. Jaleo continues to wow with its Spanish cuisine. Paella for Thanksgiving? Sounds like a winner to me!

Via Napoli

Via Napoli's mezzo metro size pizza with half quattro formaggi and half pepperoni

Often thought of as a hard-to-get reservation, there were multiple times available when we searched this morning, because most people aren’t thinking pizza on Thanksgiving day. Their loss is your gain! (And hey, it’s better than microwaving frozen pizza on Christmas because your voice-activated oven gave you fits!)

Sebastian’s Bistro

This has become my family’s go-to dining location at Walt Disney World. It’s out-of-the-way location at Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort means that reservations tend to be easier to come by. The food is spectacular–make sure to get the rolls with guava butter, onion jam, and jerk dipping sauces. My must-have dish is the chimichurri skirt steak with crispy yuca, but you can’t go wrong with anything there.

Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the top-rated Disney Resort restaurants
Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

I have to admit I was surprised to see this one with multiple slots available. Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful choice for a meal that goes above and beyond. If you’re a person who loves a good glass of wine with dinner, the wine selection at Jiko is phenomenal.

Have your heart set on a specific restaurant but not seeing any reservations? Keep checking back–people often cancel up until the night before. Also check for third-party (but on property) reservations through It’s also not too late to use the TouringPlans reservation finder to look for that hard-to-find reservation.
