May 8 is National Have a Coke Day — yes, seriously. What better place to celebrate than with a stop at Club Cool? Club Cool has changed over the years (who remembers the now-extinct Ice Station Cool with the wonderful “freezer” area that was the perfect place to cool off, aside from the creepy frozen guy?) and some of the variety of flavors of soda that you can sample for free have changed. Yet, some things remain constant–you can still try a variety of sodas from around the world for free, including the “popular” Beverly flavor. (For those who haven’t tried it, imagine if you took cough syrup and removed the fruit flavor — I’m guessing that’s pretty close to Beverly flavor.)
Club Cool also offers a variety of merchandise for sale, and you can buy Frozen Coke as well as bottled Coca-Cola products (but only the same kind that are sold everywhere else in Walt Disney World theme parks).
So, Happy National Have a Coke Day — is Club Cool your place to stop to celebrate, or is this a place that you’d rather skip on any day of the week? Let us know in the comments.
