Do you like to devote theme park touring time to getting your grove on? If so, you’ll want to head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where new Club Disney and Holidays Happen Here dance parties premiered on December 1, just in time for the festive Christmas season. Indoors or outside, day or night, you now have two new opportunities to satisfy that disco itch.

Club Disney at Sunset Showcase

Sunset Showcase, the boxy building recently erected behind the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, plays host to Club Disney, a family friendly nightclub that’s open all day.

Inside the venue, you’ll find a large dance floor surrounded by wrap-around video screens and powerful speakers, all controlled by a hyperactive D.J. who projects rapid-fire montages of Disney movie moments in between spinning hit Radio Disney tunes.

You’re likely to bump into one of the Fab Five cutting a rug on the dance floor, making for fun candid photos.

If dancing isn’t your bag, distract yourself with wall-sized digital canvasses that you can color with virtual crayons.

Of course, if you’re totally out of gas, grab a snack from the limited selection, and sack out in the A/C on a comfy chair in the corner.

Your smartphone can also get a boost from one of the club’s high-power charging pods, which provide multiple cables accommodating most popular connections (including USB and Apple Lightning).

Club Disney is currently open from 10 a.m. until park closing; check your Times Guide for details.

Holidays Happen Here Dance Party

For the rest of 2015, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has also introduced another new seasonal dance party that takes over the park’s central plaza every evening. Much like in Club Cool, a D.J. blasts current pop tracks while costumed characters cavort with the crowd.

It seems the removal of the giant Sorcerer’s Hat hasn’t dissuaded DHS from holding events in front of the Great Movie Ride. The party causes congestion from 5 p.m. until park closing, so consider using Mickey Avenue and Pixar Place if trying to navigate from one side of the park to the other.
