Disney Cruise Line in a Jiffy: What is a Sports Simulator?

On the Disney Cruise Line Dream and Fantasy ships (only these two), you can find sports simulators on Deck 13. These simulators allow you to play virtual games of basketball, football, hockey, soccer, baseball, or golf. They have all the equipment there; you don’t need to bring anything other than your A Game.

The golf simulator allows you to play a round at one of your favorite real-world courses. The other sports challenge you in kicking, throwing, and other movements, and then evaluate your performance. Prices start at about $30 for a 30 minute session; 60 minute sessions are also available. The price is per session, for up to four people – so your whole family can play a together.

You can, and should, reserve time in the simulator in the Daily Activities section of the DCL app. This activity is most popular on sea days. Reservation windows open based on your Castaway Club status. Guests will be charged 50% of their simulator booking charge if they cancel on the day of their session. No fees apply for cancellations made prior to the day of the scheduled session. No-shows will be treated as a cancelled session and will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
