t_logoOn the heels of the Disney Visa cardholder discounts released this morning, we hear resort discounts will be available to the general public starting Thursday. As far as we know, the discounts are the same as the Disney Visa discounts and are as follows. The discount can be applied to previous bookings if there is availability. Call your travel agent or Disney for more information.

Any idea on if/when Free Dining for 2015 will be announced? Thank you

No idea, that’s why I depend on my travel agent for the heads up on these things.

Based on past experience, when would would we expect AP discounts to come out, and would they likely be any better than the VISA discounts? I was going to call and get the VISA discount applied to our Feb. 25-Mar. 7 trip, but we have AP and hate to have to call again if it’s much better.

These discounts are in the same neighborhood of the percentage off you’d see for AP discounts. I don’t know if releasing Visa/general public rates means AP rates are coming up too. I’d guess yes, though Disney may want to sell rooms to people who are also buying tickets first.

Thanks! I think I’ll go ahead a get the VISA discount and then call again if the AP discount is better. My guess is that it won’t be.

What is the actual discount for the Magic Your Way package? If we are planning on staying on property, getting tickets and a dining plan, is that a better deal than just getting a room discount?

Disney hasn’t given details. I’ve heard it’s adult dining for the price of kids. I would price it out non-discounted before calling in to Disney to book so you’ll know if you’re getting the deal you want to take. Or use a travel agent who can tell you without bias which deal will save you the most money. Disney will not give you this information up front when you call (“what is the discounted v. non-discounted price of this offer?) even if you ask outright.
