Disney in a Minute: What is the Days of Christmas Shop?
We’re here with a series of quick posts, “Disney in a Minute,” bite-sized nuggets of information that can better help you understand a Disney term or planning topic. Enjoy!
Along with tee shirts and mouse ears, one of the most common Disney World souvenirs is holiday decor. Ornaments are small, light, and relatively inexpensive, making them a good choice for folks traveling with only carry-on luggage or who are trying to economize. Many families make it a tradition to purchase a Disney ornament every year or to buy an ornament on every vacation.
Ornaments are sold year-round at many locations throughout Walt Disney World, but if you’re looking for the largest selection, the place to go is the Days of Christmas Shop at Disney Springs. This store is located in the Marketplace area, close to the walkway to the Saratoga Springs resort. In addition to selling holiday items, the Days of Christmas store is also a great place to have items personalized via embroidery or hand painting. The Days of Christmas shop does have a small selection of Hanukkah items, but this will be housed on just one or two of the dozens of display racks.
The other dedicated holiday shop at Disney World is Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, located near the Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square. There is a lot merchandise overlap with the Days of Christmas Shop, with a slightly smaller selection.
Along with winter holiday merchandise, both WDW Christmas stores will carry some Halloween decor items in the late summer and early fall.
