Walt Disney World Introduces New Disney PinQuest Scavenger Hunt
If you are a Disney pin collector, I have a great new activity for you to participate in this summer. Called Disney PinQuest, this new pin scavenger hunt will take place in the Magic Kingdom where Guests will be able to find and collect a series of limited-release pins all while searching for clues around the park.
Guests are able to use a map with a decoder to solve clues that allow them to collect and purchase a series of seven limited-released Disney Pin Trading pins from different areas around the the park. Disney PinQuest is a great way to interact with Cast Members all while collecting unique pins along the way.
To begin, participants must start by purchasing a PinQuest Adventure Kit for $14.99. The kit contains a lanyard to showcase your pins; a decoder medal for use with PinQuest pins; and a lanyard pouch to hold the map included in the adventure kit. The lanyard pouch also holds PinQuest clue cards which are sold separately. (The cost of the clue cards are $9.99 each.)
There are six different Disney PinQuest clue cards. Each clue card has a question that needs answered and must be shared with a NavigatEAR Cast Member in a particular location. Once solved, you can redeem the clue card for a Disney PinQuest pin using the perforated ticket on the bottom of the clue card.
To finalize your quest, after purchasing all six clue cards and receiving stamps and pins from each of the different locations, guests should return to either Frontier Trading Post in Frontierland or Curtain Call Collectibles on Main Street, U.S.A. Those who complete the Disney PinQuest Scavenger Hunt will be able to purchase the exclusive QuestEAR pin for $4.99.
Guests will have the opportunity to complete Disney PinQuest in one day or it can be completed over multiple visits to the Magic Kingdom, but do keep in mind that items are subject to availability.
Disney PinQuest will take place throughout the summer while supplies last.

$80?! Definatley another Disney cash grab….. But I cannot pass this up …. Disney knows how to get my money for sure!
My kids are going to want to get pins anyway. They love the “games” in MK. This seems like a relatively inexpensive way for them to get more original pins and have me spend less time poring over the pins for sale with them.
Complain and moan all you wish abot a cash grab, but we’re really just looking at a $2-3 upcharge over your regular lower-cost pins. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the $15 up-front kit charge. I understand it (they aren’t making money on the back-end, really), but $9.99 seems more palatable.
Wow. Disney orchestrating something that can only truly be described as a cash grab. Never thought I’d see the day, I said sarcastically.
This is probably one of the dumbest WDW upcharge things I’ve heard about in a while. Really? I’m all for trading/collecting pins, but $80? Not to mention the time out of your day to go around collecting purchasing them. Thanks, but no thanks!
For avid pin collectors like myself, it is fun to see them do this! It gets excitement up again for pins which I love! Will definitely try this if it is still going on next Feb for Princess Marathon weekend! Crossing my fingers 🙂

Nope, it’s definitely $80. $15 to start, 10/each for 6 pins=$60, then $5 more for the “prize” pin. Just shy of $80+tax. We won’t be doing it either.
