Disney Springs keeps changing and adding new things to help round out the refurbishment of the shopping and dining district.

The first big change is that the expansion of World of Disney is now complete. This 6,000 foot expansion’s goal is to help to make things more convenient for Guests to shop. The expansion includes wider aisles, a centralized check-out location, a new information center, a new shop entrance, three additional rooms for Guests to shop in, updated displays, and great new ceiling murals featuring Disney and Pixar characters.

The second addition for Disney Springs is the upcoming chocolate shop called The Ganachery.  This will be a high end chocolate boutique and is slated to open on December 15. It will feature hand-crafted chocolates its goal is to elevates sweets to an experience akin to a wine tasting and is about celebrating the sweet treat.

The Ganachery

The shop will specialize in 16 different ganaches that are made in house. The flavors featured at the shop will fall into four categories: Spices, such a chipotle; Classic, such as orange, vanilla and caramel; Trendy, such as matcha yuzu chocolate; and Fruit, such as passion fruit and calamansi.

The shop will also feature nine varieties of custom-made chocolate bars (not made in house) that will celebrate Disney’s iconic destinations such as Aulani, Disneyland, and more, as well as the Fab Five.

Changes still keep coming for Disney Springs and the area is really turning into a great place to visit once again.
