How does free dining plans affect the crowd calendar?
We are going in Mid September. Due ot the fact that we are renting points from a friend who is a DVC member, I am actually spending less by buying my own DDP than one would meet all the requirements for free DDP.
Does this news increase the crowd expectations?

The only impact the dining promotion has that isn’t already taken into account in the crowd calendar is the availability of dining reservations. These are low crowd times and Disney’s only offering a minimal number of rooms for the promotion.

        That makes sense. Basically:
“No one’s coming to WDW! What do we do?”
“Feed ’em for free, see if they come then.”

And since I already have my dining reservations, I guess I am all set.

Do you know the reason that Port Orleans French Quarter is excluded? We are going during one of the times the free dining is offered, but that is where we are staying. Thanks!

We suspect that French Quarter is just too popular, it’s very rarely included in any sort of discount. I’m staying there a few nights in June on a family trip and I had to pay (gasp, shock, horror) full price.

Plus, it has substantially fewer rooms than the other moderates. Sometimes Riverside isn’t even included in promos.

Although the free dining promotion reads that it requires a 6 night stay, when you click on fine print it actually only requires min of 3 nights, they’re tricky that way 🙂
