How Crowded Was Disneyland Last Week?

Crowds were down on average at Disneyland during the last week of February although Sunday and Saturday had crowd levels that were slightly higher than what the Disneyland Crowd Calendar Predicted. During the week (Monday through Thursday) neither park saw a crowd level above a ‘5’ on our scale.

Disneyland wait times were slightly higher than expected with averages like 34 minutes at it’s a small world and 71 minutes at Space Mountain. Wait times at Disney California Adventure were within a few minutes of what the Disneyland Crowd Calendar predicted.

Neither park showed significant wait time averages on Monday. Haunted Mansion only averaged 9 minutes, for example.

Tuesday saw more of the same with average wait times or less at most attractions. Star Tours averaged 30 minutes (predicted 31) and Tower of Terror averaged 35 minutes (predicted 34).

Both parks hit a crowd level ‘4’ on Wednesday which was a couple points lower than expected at Disney California Adventure. There we saw averages like 9 minutes at California Screamin’ and 55 minutes at Radiator Springs Racers.

The Disneyland Crowd Calendar predicted an increase in crowds starting on Thursday but it didn’t happen. Crowds on Thursday were about the same as what we saw between Monday and Wednesday.

Friday’s crowds did increase as expected with both parks hitting at least a level ‘7’ on our scale. Similar to Sunday, Friday’s wait time averages were 47 minutes at Space Mountain and 24 minutes at Pirates of the Caribbean.

Saturday’s crowds were as busy as we have seen all winter at both parks. Disneyland had 14 major attractions hit a crowd level ’10’ on our scale – that is a lot!
