Disney’s Animal Kingdom Newsworthy Notes – 12/18/15

The busiest season is upon us at Walt Disney World, so because of that, I want to make you aware of a few changes and refurbishments that will be taking place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom going forward.
- From December 26 through January 2, guests looking to make FastPass+ reservations will be able to do so at a kiosk in Asia across from the Yak & Yeti Restaurant. In addition, two other kiosks have moved locations. The Africa kiosk is now located near Harambe Market entrance; it is no longer located near the Dawa Bar. In addition, the Discovery Island kiosk has been moved to the front of the new Riverside Depot store.
- Some of the outdoor dining kiosks throughout the parks have changed names. They are as follows:
- Terra Treats – located on Discovery Island. Previously known as the Allergy Kiosk and provides allergy friendly items and dining tips.
- Mahindi – located in Africa. Previously known as the Harambe Popcorn Cart, serving popcorn and Jungle Juice slushes.
- Caravan Road – located in Asia. Previously known as Bradley Falls, serving edamame and Asian noodle salad.
- Warung Outpost – located in Asia. Previously known as Upcountry, serving margaritas.
- Chakranadi – located in Asia. Previously known as Maharajah Pretzel, serving pretzels, roasted nuts, and beer.
- Eight Spoon Café – located on Discovery Island. Previously known as Beastly Kiosk, serving pretzels and pastas.
- Smiling Crocodile – located on Discovery Island. Previously known as Gardens Kiosk, serving lemonades and salads.
- Feeding Ground – located on Discovery Island. Previously known locally as DI Popcorn, serving beer and popcorn.
- Seasonal surprise entertainment offerings will take place on Discovery Island for Guests to enjoy from December 20 through January 2 between 12:30 p.m. through 7:30 p.m.
