Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter’s Food Court To See Refurbishment
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort’s food court, known as Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory will be seeing a very lengthy refurbishment. This work will begin on July 11 and will last until sometime this fall. (It appears that it will be November 21, 2016.)
Guests staying at this resort will be able to dine at an alternative location, which will serve dishes such as jambalaya, po-boy sandwiches, gumbo, and more. Don’t worry beignet fans! They will be available at this temporary location too. There will also be a selection of grab n’ go meals available for purchase here too.
In addition, Guests will also be able to head over to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and enjoy either the Riverside Mill Food Court or enjoy dinner at Boatwright’s Dining Hall.
Guests can also enjoy in-room pizza delivery, which is available from 4:00 p.m. until midnight.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated on further details about this refurbishment.
Excited to hear this! This is our go-to resort when we visit with our kids 🙂
Have a handicap / disability hope this isnt too much of an inconvenience not able constantly get on the bus or boat to have a meal
I wonder if Port Orleans will remove the gator statues?
Yes, they will be using the old Bonfamille’s restaurant location as the temporary replacement for the food court, they have been busy prepping it for a little while now. http://www.portorleans.org/news.php?first=300416
It’s smaller than the food court though, so it remains to be seen how crowded it becomes during the high occupancy period of July!

Yes! Maybe we’ll get a cream dispenser like Pop has! 😀 :p
I hope things won’t be too crowded.
Did they announce where the temporary location would be? Would the old restaurant make sense?
I read somewhere that they were setting it up in Scat Cat’s Club.
