The Stellar Views of Disney’s Riviera Resort’s Grand Villa

Located next to EPCOT and Disney’s Caribbean Beach is Walt Disney World’s newest DVC resort, the Riviera.

The Riviera Resort has the most improved guest satisfaction

Themed after the French and Italian Riviera, this resort opened in late 2019 offering modern elegance, fine dining, classic art with a Disney twist, and spectacular views. In fact, the latter just happens to be the focus of this post today.

Our Grand Villa at Disney’s Riviera Resort

Our park reporter Chrissy recently stayed in a Grand Villa at the Riviera; and let’s just say, we may never look at a resort villa the same way again.

Disney’s Riviera is home to 300 guest rooms, including Deluxe Studios and Tower Studios, as well as one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom Grand Villas.

Chrissy checked into Room 8990 which was an immaculate 3-bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3 balcony Grand Villa and possibly the most beautiful room we’ve seen on Disney property.

While a full room review is on the way; for today, we’re highlighting this villa’s gorgeous vistas!

Positioned on the shores of Barefoot Bay, the Riviera offers views of the water, its own pool area, Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort, and the Skyliner; and while most of these sights were visible from this villa, there’s more.

One of the villa’s three balconies actually offered a view of the resort’s Movies Under the Stars!

Still, that’s not all. At night, the views get even better as the Riviera also features views of EPCOT’s Harmonious fireworks!

Even though Room 8990 offers views of all these sights, the positioning of the villa also allows views of Harmonious while laying in bed.

Basically, if the bedroom’s balcony is just too far away from the comfort of the covers, you’ll have the same view.

The other two bedrooms also offer spectacular views, whether or not you’re taking advantage of their balconies.

But honestly, a stunning view is only a head turn away through this entire space.

Pro Tip: Grab a meal to go at Primo Piatto, or a coffee and sweet treat or two at Le Petit Cafe, and create your fireworks viewing party on one of your three balconies.

  • Were there any noise issues with this room being right under Topolinos?

  • That was funny, Maggie! Now I’m thinking of ways to cram more in.

  • I’ve never seen so many possessive apostrophes in one title! The views really do look spectacular but I shudder to think of the price.
