Dumbo Cupcake: A Review from the Peanut Gallery
A new cupcake has flown into Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom. It’s Dumbo, the flying…cupcake?
Okay, technically the cupcake doesn’t fly, and at the $5 price point, it isn’t likely to be flying off the shelves from Big Top Treats, but it does offer some unique aspects that make it stand out.
First things first–circus peanuts, love them or hate them? As a garnish, it’s adorable, but is there anyone who actually likes eating those? Step one for eating this cupcake is to remove it.
Once you do that, you’ve got a delightful cupcake. The dark chocolate cake is moist and rich, and the frosting is a light whipped peanut butter frosting. A smattering of chopped peanuts on top adds a bit of crunch, but doesn’t do much for the flavor compared to the peanut butter frosting. Because of the rich flavors, this cupcake can easily be split by two people.

I am on team circus peanut. 😀
Yuk – a too-thick glob of commercial frosting. Almost certainly just sugar, PB and…ew – shortening.
Artery clogger alert. No thanks –
You had me at peanut butter frosting. And, I’m with you. The garbage can have the circus peanut.
